Mata Nui

Greetings, we are the Tohunga, residents of the Island of Mata Nui. We will
introduce you to the fabled stories of Mata Nui, the Toa, the Turaga, our villages, Makuta
and his minions and the Kanohi Masks of Power. First, let us introduce ourselves.

I am Jala, a Tohunga from the Village of Ta-Koro, where I am commander of the troops
and trusted friend of Turaga Vakama.
|
|
I am Maku. I come from Ga-Koro. I am the right hand of Turaga Nokama, who teaches me to read foreign
languages.
|
|
Call me Huki (shown above) and this is Hafu. We live in Po-Koro, where I have earned the title
of Champion Koli Player. Both Hafu and I are personnal friends of Turaga Onewa. Hafu is a carver and
tells stories with his carvings-- without saying a single word. Both of us are reknowned for our skills
with throwing disks.

I am Onepu. I dwell in the underground Village of Onu-Koro, where I am known as Champion Ussal Crab
racer. I am the captain of the Ussalry Regiment and most trusted friend and right hand to Turaga Whenua.

I'm known as Kongu. I'm from Le-Koro. I'm known for my exceptional swinging abilities, and Turaga
Matau and I are as close as kin.
|
|
I am Matoro, a Tohunga from Ko-Koro. I am right hand and close friend to Turaga Nuju. I translate
his stories for the rest of the Tohunga.
